Dehradun, 14 Jul: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan today reviewed the progress of the schemes related to the Urban Development Department at the Secretariat here. During the review meeting, he emphasised that all the urban local bodies (ULBs) in Uttarakhand must continuously work towards providing a clean environment, safe drinking water, climate-resilient infrastructure and economically self-reliant cities. He directed that scientific waste processing and 100 per cent segregation of waste at source be ensured in every ULB. He also directed a speedy solution to the issue of old dump sites so that the work could be completed at the earliest.
