Dehradun, Nov. 6 -- Following a key meeting of senior Uttarakhand Congress leaders held recently in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, the Uttarakhand Congress has announced the launch of its 'Bhumi Bachao, Dhami Hatao' campaign across all districts and municipal corporation areas of the state from 4 November. The campaign is being launched on the instructions of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and at the call of the Pradesh Congress Committee to protest the alleged distribution and transfer of government land.
