Dehradun, 8 Apr: Census Commissioner, Uttarakhand, Deepak Kumar today held a media briefing at the Secretariat Media Centre regarding the upcoming Census exercise. He stated that the first phase of Census 2027 in Uttarakhand will begin with house listing and housing enumeration from 25 April 2026 to 24 May 2026. Enumerators will conduct door-to-door surveys during this period, while families will also have the option of self-enumeration between 10 April and 24 April 2026. The second phase of Census 2027, covering population enumeration, will be conducted from 9 February to 28 February 2027.
