Liberia, April 1 -- The outgoing Chairperson of the National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC - Liberia), Madam Davidetta Browne Lansanah, has commended members of the national and international media for their critical role in strengthening Liberia's electoral processes, as she concludes her tenure spanning more than a decade.

In a formal letter addressed to the media dated 31 March 2026, Madam Browne Lansanah expressed 'deepest gratitude' for the invaluable contributions journalists have made in highlighting and supporting the work of the NEC from 2013 to March 2026.

She credited the media with promoting transparency, accountability, and civic engagement throughout Liberia's electoral processes.
