Monrovia, May 13 -- The Women NGOs Secretariat of Liberia (WONGOSOL) has expressed serious concern over the findings contained in a recent audit report released on May 11, 2026, by the General Auditing Commission, which highlighted major financial discrepancies involving the Liberia Revenue Authority, the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, and the Central Bank of Liberia.

In a press statement issued Tuesday, WONGOSOL described the reports of untraceable public revenues and weak accountability systems as "deeply alarming," especially at a time when many Liberians continue to face economic hardship, limited access to social services, and growing inequality.
