MONROVIA, Sept. 17 -- A private residence in the ELWA community in Paynesville became the setting for a pivotal internal conversation within the National Patriotic Party (NPP) Wednesday, as Senator Edwin Snowe convened a closed-door meeting between the party's top leadership and representatives of partisans who had been suspended amid a lingering internal dispute.
