Liberia, Sept. 14 -- In Saclepea, Nimba County, the promise of newly paved streets should ordinarily be a welcome development. Instead, a government road project has become the subject of an increasingly heated political argument after the acting city mayor initially identified the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction as the successful bidder, only for the party to later reject the claim and the mayor himself to clarify his earlier statement.
