Liberia, Oct. 1 -- Monrovia, September 30, 2026 - In an effort to have the 2027 National Budget submitted on or in time so as to enhance its full implementation, the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) has scheduled today, Thursday, October 1, 2026 for the kick-off of the budget hearing processes.

The Executive Budget Hearing is a legal requirement under the Public Financial Management (PFM) Act, wherein the Budget Policy and Coordination Committee consult with all Ministries, Agencies and Commissions (MACs) on their programs and budget justifications for the next fiscal year.
