Liberia: LDEA Denounces 'Fake Resignation Letter,' Says Biago Remains Committed Amid Drug Bust Probe
Liberia, June 19 -- The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has strongly rejected reports circulating on social media claiming that its Officer-in-Charge, DCP Fitzgerald T. M. Biago, has resigned or is considering resignation amid mounting pressure from ongoing drug trafficking investigations.
The agency on Friday night issued an official statement describing as "false, malicious, and reckless" a purported resignation letter that surfaced online and was allegedly addressed to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.
