Monrovia, May 21 -- Dusty Lawrence Wolokollie, a veteran Liberian politician, former lawmaker, and longtime advocate for governance reform, has died.

According to family sources, Wolokollie died Thursday morning at the 14 Military Hospital in Monrovia.

Wolokollie was a prominent figure in Liberian politics and served as Representative for Montserrado County Electoral District #4 in the House of Representatives. During his tenure in the 52nd Legislature, he chaired the House Standing Committee on Good Governance and Governance Reform and also served as a member of the Pan-African Parliament.
