Liberia: Chesson Hit with Threat, Coercion Charges; US$228,658 Property Secures US$10,000 Bond
MONROVIA, Aug. 19 -- Former Assistant Minister of Public Works, Minister J. Jefferson Chesson, one of the more outspoken political voices surrounding Liberia's controversial drug-trafficking crisis, has now found himself on the other side of the criminal-justice system after the Monrovia City Court issued a writ of arrest accusing him of making death threats and intimidating a private prosecutor.
