
India, June 10 -- Siegwerk, a global leader in printing inks and coatings for packaging applications, announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Hi-Tech Inks, one of Indias leading manufacturers of flexographic and gravure printing inks. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Siegwerks growth strategy and reinforces its long-term commitment to India, one of the companys most important strategic markets. With the transaction now complete, the combined business becomes the largest player in Indias flexible packaging inks market, commanding over 20 percent market share.
The integration of Hi-Tech Inks strengthens Siegwerks manufacturing footprint across India, adding production facilities in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan and Vapi, Gujarat, while expanding its portfolio with solvent- and water-based inks, metallic and special-effect inks, varnishes, and overprint varnishes. The combined organization will employ approximately 1,700 people across the country, enhancing its ability to deliver innovation, scale, and supply reliability to customers.
