India, Aug. 20 -- METTLER TOLEDO, a world leader in weighing, product inspection and analytical instrumentation solutions for laboratories and industries, introduces the new M50 R-Series AdvancedLine metal detector range to the Brazilian market . This new generation of metal detectors was developed to support food manufacturers facing increasing demands regarding compliance, traceability, data connectivity and line performance.
Designed for complex and challenging applications in the refrigeration, baking and confectionery, dairy, ready-made meals, and pet food industries. The equipment can be used in different stages of production, from receiving raw materials to final inspection of the finished product.
"One of the main differentiators of the M50 R-Series line is its high sensitivity, capable of detecting extremely small metallic particles, practically imperceptible to the naked eye. The new models combine enhanced detection performance with an intuitive operating system and future-proof secure connectivity. Another highlight is the technology that reduces the effect of the product during inspection, allowing even superior performance in the inspection of red meats, which naturally have a high iron content. The system manages to treat this effect very efficiently, increasing the accuracy of the detection," says Bruno Miamoto, Application Specialist at METTLER TOLEDO.
This performance is the result of a combination of advanced digital processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), connectivity, and automation. The technology uses machine learning algorithms to increase sensitivity in identifying metallic contaminants and significantly reduce false rejects, one of the main factors in productivity loss on production lines.
MARKET DIFFERENTIAL - Another highlight of the new generation is the exclusive INFINITY Electronic Test System, developed to automate routine performance monitoring tests of metal detectors.
"With the INFINITY System, periodic tests are now performed automatically and electronically, recording all results without the need for manual operator intervention. This reduces validation time, increases the reliability of inspections, improves line productivity, and strengthens compliance and food safety programs," highlights Felipe Cavalari, Commercial Manager of the METTLER TOLEDO division in Brazil.
In addition to the INFINITY system, the M50 R-Series AdvancedLine range brings together features geared towards Industry 4.0 concepts. The equipment includes RFID access control for secure user management, integrated Wi-Fi that facilitates connectivity, monitoring and report generation, as well as an integrated service QR Code that provides quick access to specialized technical support, speeding up diagnostics, maintenance and reducing equipment downtime.
According to Cavalari, the platform was also developed to support manufacturers in meeting the main international food safety standards. "The M50 line helps companies comply with the requirements of BRCGS, IFS, SQF, and FSSC 22000 standards, which are increasingly demanded by large retail chains and global supply chains. In addition to raising the level of product safety, the solution contributes to increased operational efficiency and traceability of processes," he concludes.
