Witness disowns complaint in case against ex-power minister
COLOMBO, June 18 -- The first prosecution witness in a corruption case against former Power Minister Kumar Jayakody told the Colombo High Court that although a complaint against the former minister had been sent from his email account, he could not accept responsibility for its contents.
The testimony was given before Colombo High Court Judge Rashantha Godawela during proceedings in a case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
Jayakody, who has been released on bail, was present in court when the evidence was recorded.
