COLOMBO, April 5 -- Sri Lanka and Russia have held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral, regional and international issues during the 11th round of inter-ministerial foreign affairs (MFA) consultations held in Colombo, officials said.

The consultations brought together Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and Sri Lanka's First Deputy Foreign Minister Aruni Ranaraja, with both sides reviewing current cooperation and avenues for strengthening ties.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining political dialogue, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation across multiple sectors, and enhancing coordination at international platforms.
