COLOMBO, Aug. 4 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Tuesday (4) stressed the need for coordinated action by state and private sector institutions to successfully complete Sri Lanka's third Mutual Evaluation on compliance with international Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) standards.

The President made the remarks during a special discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat to review Sri Lanka's preparations for the evaluation, which is critical to maintaining the country's credibility within the global financial system.
