Namal Rajapaksa named fourth suspect in Krrish bribery case
COLOMBO, Sept. 28 -- Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaks, eldest son of former president Mahindia Rajapaksa, and national organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Party (SLPP), was on Monday (28) named the fourth accused in a case before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court in connection with the controversial Krrish deal.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery of Corruption (CIABOC) into the Krrish transaction, in which the 40-year-old lawmaker is accused of accepting Rs70 million in bribes.
