India donates Malathion to boost Sri Lanka's dengue response
COLOMBO, Aug. 4 -- India on Tuesday (4) handed over 500 litres of Technical Malathion to Sri Lanka to support the country's efforts to combat the ongoing dengue outbreak.
The consignment was formally handed over by Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha to Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr Nalinda Jayatissa.
The donation was made by the Government of India in response to a request from the Sri Lankan government and was supplied by Indian company UPL Limited. The shipment arrived in Colombo within two weeks of the request.
