COLOMBO, Aug. 5 -- Attorney General Parinda Ranasinghe filed an indictment in the Colombo High Court against former minister Duminda Dissanayake on Wednesday (5) over the recovery of a gold-plated T-56 assault rifle from a luxury apartment at the Havelock City residential complex.

The indictment was filed following the conclusion of investigations into the incident.

A second indictment was also filed against another suspect, identified as Aigul Sheragzina, in connection with the same case.

The gold-plated T-56 rifle was recovered from a residence at the Havelock City luxury apartment complex last year.
