India, Aug. 20 -- ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard, who died at 77 after a period in hospice care, shared nearly 44 years of marriage with Debbie Meredith. While Beard spent more than five decades in the spotlight as part of the legendary rock band, his wife largely remained away from public attention.
A Marriage That Lasted More Than Four Decades
Beard married Debbie Meredith on November 11, 1982, several months after his divorce from his first wife, Catherine Alexander. The couple remained together until Beard's death on August 18.
