India, Sept. 29 -- National Award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri's Hindi film Pyre will arrive in theatres on October 23, bringing its story of an ageing Uttarakhand couple to the big screen.
A story rooted in Uttarakhand
Set in Uttarakhand, Pyre follows an elderly couple whose lives revolve around their home, shared memories and each other while their children have moved away in search of better opportunities. The film focuses on the emotional distance created by migration and the couple's quiet wait for their children to return.
