India, Oct. 27 -- Uttarakhand cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal has denied reports that he apologised to singer Daler Mehndi following a public confrontation at the Kunjapuri Mela, saying there was “no question” of him apologising. Uniyal made the remarks during an interview with Satya Vani, after reports suggested he had expressed regret following the incident.

Asked whether he had apologised to Mehndi after their confrontation, Uniyal dismissed the claim. He said, “Mera maafi maangne ka prashn hi nahi hai” and asked whether he had committed any crime that would require an apology.
