India, June 22 -- A 42-year-old carpenter, Chandradhari Singh Yadav, died from electrocution during the early hours of June 17 at Mumbai's Royal Pump Studio while work was underway for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film, Love & War. Preliminary reports indicate that a short circuit caused the fatal accident while lead actress Alia Bhatt was reportedly on set.
Compensation and Support Demands
Following the tragedy, Bhansali Productions offered the grieving family a financial assistance package of Rs40 lakh. However, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has urged the production house to increase this amount to Rs50 lakh to better secure the education and future of Yadav's two young daughters.
