India, Aug. 10 -- Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has crossed the $1 billion mark worldwide after three weeks in theatres, putting the epic adaptation within striking distance of becoming the filmmaker's highest-grossing movie. The milestone comes even as Spider-Man: Brand New Day has emerged as a major box-office force.
$1 Billion Milestone
The Odyssey has collected approximately $429.6 million in North America and $578.8 million internationally, taking its global total to $1.009 billion. The figure has already pushed the film past the lifetime haul of Nolan's The Dark Knight, which finished with about $1.008 billion.
