India, Nov. 3 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has released film subsidies totalling ₹15.68 crore for producers of 224 Tamil films made between 2015 and 2022, according to a social media post by producer T Siva and details reported from an event in Chennai.
Producer T Siva’s statement
Producer T Siva of Amma Creations said on X (formerly Twitter) that Vijay “immediately” released approximately ₹16 crore in subsidies for 224 films, describing it as a matter that had been pending for seven years.
