India, Sept. 9 -- Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia has revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was his first choice for a key role in his upcoming film Ghamasaan, but the superstar politely declined after hearing the script. The role was eventually played by Pratik Gandhi, with Arshad Warsi joining him in the lead.

Shah Rukh Khan's Response

Dhulia recalled approaching Khan after completing the screenplay for Ghamasaan. The filmmaker said he had offered him the role of a police officer, which later went to Gandhi. According to Dhulia, Khan listened to the script and explained that he did not usually take up realistic films.
