India, Oct. 27 -- The makers of the upcoming action thriller OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood unveiled Sai Pallavi’s character, Nithya Reddy, on Monday, with the actor playing a Central Bureau of Investigation officer investigating illegal red sandalwood trade in the film starring Dhanush and Mammootty. The film’s release date has been postponed from Oct. 16 to Nov. 20, 2026, according to the report.

The promotional video introduces Nithya as a mix of “honesty, smartness and experience in young blood,” the report said.
It adds that her pursuit is personal because her father, an Indian Forest Service officer from Naidupet in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district, was killed while on duty.
