India, July 29 -- Robert Downey Jr. has expressed strong confidence in Avengers: Doomsday, describing the upcoming Marvel blockbuster as "absolutely fantastic" and suggesting it could help restore the Marvel Cinematic Universe to its former glory.
Downey backs Marvel's next big chapter
Speaking during a recent cast interview, Downey praised the film after watching early footage, saying it surpassed what was showcased at San Diego Comic-Con. He added that Avengers: Doomsday "may redeem ourselves", hinting that the film could mark a turning point for the MCU following a mixed reception to several recent releases.
