India, Sept. 17 -- Bryan's nightmare begins
Austin Abrams leads Zach Cregger's new Resident Evil as Bryan, a medical courier whose routine night takes a terrifying turn after he accepts an extra delivery job. Driving toward Raccoon City through snowy mountain roads, Bryan loses his phone signal before a body crashes into his car, setting off a series of increasingly dangerous encounters.
A video game-style survival
The film moves Bryan through a succession of locations, including a farmhouse, an RV, a science laboratory, sewers and an elevator shaft. The changing environments and escalating challenges mirror the structure of the video games, while fans of the franchise can spot references and Easter eggs throughout the story.
