India, Oct. 22 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari joined actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash at a Dussehra event in Kolkata where the film Ramayana was promoted, and Adhikari announced the film had been made tax-free in the state, according to a report published on Oct. 21, 2026.

The Ramayana team attended a Dussehra event in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, on Oct. 20, with Ranbir Kapoor and Yash present.
Ranbir Kapoor began his speech in Hindi with “Jai Shri Ram” and thanked the Chief Minister and those present. He said it was an honour to celebrate Dussehra “in the holy land of Kolkata,” as people on stage clapped.
