Taylor Rene Parker remains one of the most prominent figures on Texas death row following her 2022 sentence for the 2020 fetal abduction and murder of Reagan Simmons-Hancock. Parker stabbed her victim over 100 times before cutting open her womb to steal the unborn child, a sentence the courts upheld in November 2025. Another Texas inmate, Kimberly Cargill, faces capital punishment for the 2010 asphyxiation of her son's mentally challenged babysitter to prevent testimony in a child protective case.
