India, July 7 -- NBCUniversal confirmed that the procedural drama The Hunting Party will not return for a third season following an official cancellation by the network.

Jeff Bader, the president of program planning strategy at NBCUniversal, noted that the network is currently operating on a very tight production schedule. Although Universal Television pitched the series to multiple potential buyers including Netflix, no agreement was reached to save the production.
