India, Oct. 27 -- Boxer Mary Kom criticised her 2014 biopic Mary Kom, starring Priyanka Chopra, saying the film did not do justice to her life and showed only “10 percent” of her hard work and struggle, according to an interaction cited in a report published on Oct. 27, 2026.
Biopic remarks and sequel question
Mary Kom said she was disappointed with the Priyanka Chopra-starrer and felt parts of the story were “not real.” Responding to a question about the possibility of a sequel, she said she did not think there should be one now.
In her comments, Mary Kom said the following:
