India, Sept. 25 -- Oscar-winning actor Marion Cotillard has voiced concern over the growing use of artificial intelligence in acting, saying current AI performers still lack the emotional depth of human actors but admitting she fears that could eventually change.
Cotillard compares AI acting to potatoes
Speaking to reporters at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, where she is promoting her new film 7h40 ce jour-la, Cotillard said she would be frightened if an AI-generated performer ever managed to move her emotionally.
"For now, I find that they act like potatoes, and that reassures me," the 50-year-old actor said.
