India, Sept. 17 -- King Charles has responded to allegations made by Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, about the former Prince's conduct following Diana's death in 1997, saying grief can affect judgment and memory.
Spencer's Claim About Diana
Spencer is set to publish a memoir detailing his perspective on his sister's life and death. According to a report cited by Hindustan Times, he alleges that then-Prince Charles told him, "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough," after Diana's death.
The reported remark allegedly came during an argument over whether Diana's sons, Princes William and Harry, should walk behind their mother's coffin at her funeral. Spencer had objected to the arrangement, according to the report.
