India, July 15 -- Former Bachelor franchise star Joe Amabile announced on Tuesday that he is preparing for surgery after being diagnosed with an early stage brain tumor.

Amabile, known as "Grocery Store Joe," shared the update via Instagram, stating that doctors discovered a blueberry-sized lesion during an MRI scan. The 40-year-old reality star noted that the growth appears to be a glioma, which was caught at a very early stage. He is scheduled to undergo a craniotomy at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in two weeks to remove the tumor for testing.
