India, June 17 -- Renowned British television presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed his diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer during the filming of his popular documentary series.

The 66 year old broadcaster, best known for his long tenure on the motoring show Top Gear, shared the news during episodes of Clarkson's Farm broadcast on Wednesday. Clarkson informed his colleagues that the condition was identified following a medical examination in May and a subsequent biopsy. Although he described the cancer as aggressive, he noted that doctors caught the disease in its early stages, which provided a more positive outlook for his recovery.
