India, July 30 -- Oscar-winning actor and musician Jared Leto has strongly denied allegations of sexual assault and misconduct after a BBC investigation featured accounts from multiple women accusing him of inappropriate conduct during incidents dating back more than a decade.

The BBC documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret includes allegations from four women who claim they experienced sexual assault, grooming or other forms of misconduct involving Leto between 2002 and 2016. Several of the women said they were teenagers at the time of the alleged incidents, with one alleging statutory rape and another claiming repeated sexually explicit phone calls while she was 16.
