The first episode of the recently released Netflix series Worst Ex Ever chronicles the 2019 crimes of Wade Wilson. Wilson earned his moniker by sharing a name with a famous Marvel antihero. In October 2019, he strangled Kristine Melton in her home following a drug-fueled encounter.
Shortly after, he kidnapped and murdered Diane Ruiz by strangling her and repeatedly running her over with a vehicle until she was unrecognizable. Prosecutors characterized these acts as killing purely for the sake of killing.
