India, Oct. 5 -- Ben Affleck has dismissed reports that he was being set up with Shakira following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, saying he had never heard about the alleged matchmaking effort.

The 54-year-old actor-director discussed his personal life while attending the Los Angeles premiere of his film Animals. Asked about reports linking him with Shakira, Affleck said he had "never heard that" and suggested that celebrity gossip often turns into stories that are not based on conversations with him.
Affleck also made it clear that he is not actively looking for a relationship. He said dating is "not a big priority" in his life, with much of his time taken up by work and his three children.
