India, Aug. 7 -- Amanda Knox has defended her debut comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, saying the performance is intended to honour the memory of her murdered former roommate Meredith Kercher after facing calls for the show to be cancelled.
Knox rejects criticism
Responding to criticism from Meredith Kercher's sister, Stephanie Kercher, Knox said on Instagram that her show, Cartwheel, "honours Meredith Kercher's memory" and highlights the violence inflicted on both women. She argued that critics were judging the production before seeing it and insisted it was created to explore grief, injustice and survival rather than to make light of tragedy.
