Dhaka, Sept. 17 -- The profit rate for subscribers of Bangladesh's Universal Pension Scheme on investments during the 2025-26 fiscal year has been raised to 11.72 percent from 11.68 percent.

The decision was approved at the 4th meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Pension Authority (NPA), chaired by Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.

The meeting also discussed expanding benefits for subscribers and improving the investment and management of the pension scheme.

The board decided to allow pension payments to a nominee of a deceased pensioner until the age of 80, instead of 75, subject to applicable rules.
