No LNG: Excelerate's Terminal Shuts Down
Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- Gas supplies have declined further. Excelerate Energy's LNG terminal has been completely shut down due to a lack of imported gas. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase has given in-principle approval for the purchase of 14 LNG cargoes.
According to Petrobangla sources, a total of 2,145 million cubic feet (mmcf) of gas was supplied at 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Of this, 1,624 mmcf came from domestic sources, while 561 mmcf came from imported LNG. Imported gas supply was 70 mmcf lower than the previous day. Total gas supply on Tuesday was 2,257 mmcf.
