Load Shedding: Lower Than 2023 in June-July, Higher in August
Dhaka, Sept. 8 -- Dr. Zahid Ur Rahman, the Prime Minister's Adviser on Information and Broadcasting, has presented a comparative picture of load shedding in the country. He compared load shedding in June, July and August 2026 with the corresponding months of 2023.
According to the data, load shedding in June and July 2026 was lower than in the same months of 2023, while it was higher in August.
In June 2023, average load shedding was 967 megawatts, compared with 741 megawatts in June 2026. This means load shedding was 226 megawatts lower in June 2026.
In July, load shedding stood at 613 megawatts in 2023, against 460 megawatts in 2026. Thus, it was 153 megawatts lower in July 2026.
