Dhaka, July 27 -- State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit has said that it will take at least another week to restore gas supply from the offshore Floating LNG (FLNG) terminal after repairs to the damaged facility.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Monday, the state minister said that complete repairs could take up to two more weeks, meaning the ongoing gas crisis may persist during that period. Consumers across the country are continuing to suffer due to the gas shortage.

He said local and foreign engineers are working together to repair the damaged terminal, but they have not yet been able to specify exactly when the repairs will be fully completed.
