Dhaka, May 7 -- The price of jet fuel used in aircraft has been reduced.

For domestic flights, the price per liter of jet fuel has been lowered from Tk 227.80 to Tk 205.45.

For international flights, the price has been reduced from US$1.4806 per liter (duty and VAT exempt) to US$1.3385 per liter.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices on Thursday.

Earlier, after three consecutive hikes totaling Tk 132 per liter, the authorities decided to reduce the price by nearly Tk 22 per liter.

In January, the price of jet fuel was Tk 94.93 per liter. In February, it was increased by 19 paisa to Tk 95.12 per liter.
