Dhaka, May 23 -- The price of jet fuel has been reduced by Tk 39.57 per liter.

For domestic flights, the price of jet fuel has been cut from Tk 205.45 per liter to Tk 165.88 per liter. For international flights, the price has been reduced from USD 1.3385 per liter to USD 1.0823 per liter.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has set the new prices, which will come into effect from Sunday.

Earlier, on May 7, the price of jet fuel was reduced by Tk 22.35 per liter. On April 7, the price had been increased by nearly Tk 25 per liter. Before that, on March 24, the price was raised by Tk 90 per liter.
