Dhaka, July 31 -- State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit has said that Bangladesh needs a comprehensive, geographically and data-based map clearly identifying the country's mineral resources and their locations. He directed the relevant authorities to develop a single, modern and integrated framework by consolidating the existing fragmented block maps, geological survey data and other scattered information held by different agencies. He said that having a complete picture of the location and potential of underground resources would facilitate better coordination among government agencies and support more effective planning and implementation.
