Dhaka, Sept. 6 -- Dr Md Rafiqul Islam has been appointed as the new chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification appointing him to the post.

Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, an additional secretary, is currently a member of the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC).
