Dhaka, Sept. 15 -- Gas supply to Bangladesh's national grid rose to 2.61 billion cubic feet (Bcf) on Tuesday, supported by increased supplies of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG), Petrobangla said.

At noon, domestic gas fields supplied 1.62 Bcf, while LNG contributed 0.99 Bcf, bringing total supply to 2.61 Bcf.

For nearly a month, average daily gas supply had remained between 2.20 Bcf and 2.30 Bcf, as disruptions at a floating LNG terminal and difficulties in LNG imports amid the conflict in the Middle East affected supplies.

Petrobangla said the recent increase in LNG supply has helped raise overall gas availability in the national grid.
